Multimodal

That’s why it’s important to use a multimodal approach for your breast screening?

Because every imaging tool has its strengths and limitations and no breast test is 100% accurate 100% of the time, using thermography and ultrasound together, undoubtedly increases your chances of early detection.

WHAT IS ULTRASOUND? It is a non-invasive structural screening that uses sound waves instead of radiation to capture live images and provides a more structural view.

WHAT IS THERMOGRAPHY? It is a unique, non-invasive screening (no radiation and no touch) used to detect abnormal activity and inflammation in the body and insight into how everything is functioning.

At Unique Ultrasound we offer both ultrasound and thermography and if you schedule both screenings at your appointment, we'll give a 10% off, that’s a $35 savings!!

Thermography and Cancer

Thermography cannot diagnose cancer, but it can detect physiological changes going on in the body. When combined with other screening options the chances of catching breast cancer early rise to 96%. That's huge!

Mammograms look for anatomical changes in the breasts like lumps and/or masses. Breast thermograms analyze vascular changes. Increased blood into certain regions of the body increases the heat of that region. Things like cancer cell activity, active infections and inflammation increase circulation in those regions.

Thermography is an effective means of detecting physiological changes resulting from disease. It's also a non-invasive, painless, no touch (which means no compression) and DOES NOT emit radiation.

Your Skin and Lymphatic Fluid

Your skin is the largest organ in the body and is responsible for a quarter of the body's detoxification. When lymphatic fluid begins to slow down or become stagnant estrogens from the breast area can not be removed and inflammation happens. This can cause breast tenderness, lumps in the breast or under the arms, and can change in breast size can occur.

Dry brushing is a way to stimulate the skin and circulates lymph fluid which is present just under the skin's surface. It also improves skin appearance due to the shedding of dead skin cells.

Also, ditch the wire bras and let the girls hang out at night (no bra wearing to bed). Call or email us for a free consult or to book your thermography appointment.

Why is Breast Thermography So Useful

Every person (including men) has their own thermal pattern (just like a finger print), that is accurate and static throughout their lifetime. Any changes to your normal "thermal fingerprint" caused by early cell changes (pathology) will become increasingly apparent in a thermography scan. Monitoring changes over periods of time with thermography is the most efficient means of identifying changes that may need further investigation.

Thermography uses no radiation and their is no contact with your body. The infrared camera that is used in themo scans detects and records the infrared radiation that is emitting from the patient's body. All scans are done by a Certified Clinical Thermographer and include a detailed report from a Board Certified Thermologists.
